The grunge look on this is just like me…slightly rough but not too far gone! Great for my everyday wear and matches many of my clothes. Got the sparkle silver finish but the sparkle is super subtle so not bling bling. Seems to give the colors a rich low light feel like inside a castle with big windows! It seems like we've all been impacted by breast cancer - either you've had it, lost someone to it, or know a survivor. This is a beautiful tribute to those fighting the disease and those who already lost the battle. Bringing awareness will hopefully encourage regular checks, early detection, and more research. As I've said before, sometimes I reach for a topper that makes a big, bold statement and other times I'm feeling more subtle. Funny enough, NYE is one of those holidays when we take lots of pictures and it really bugs me when I look back and pictures and see I'm wearing the same toppers from the previous year (this is just happening now because I'm in my 2nd year of wearing toppers). Last fall I decided to bolster my NYE collection and this one made the cut. It's really cute, but a simple monochromatic color scheme so it'll match whatever I may wear. I'm not really a big Mardi Gras person. I've never been (nor do I ever plan to go) to New Orleans and I rarely even note the date. However, on the off chance that I needed a Mardi Gras-worthy topper in a pinch, I needed to have one in my collection. After all, I do live in a community with a big party vibe, so it truly could happen for me. I didn't want anything too flamboyant, but definitely needed to say Mardi Gras to anyone who saw it.
